Dr. George Pearson

Lead Pastor

George is originally from California and received his undergraduate degree from the California State University at Fresno. He went on to earn a Master in Arts in Theology from Southwestern Seminary, a Master of Theology in Applied Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor George began his ministry as senior pastor of Grace Fellowship Church on September 5, 2010. Formerly George was a church planter/pastor in New Mexico for 11 years. He has ministered across several regions of the country and worked with all generations of people throughout 26 years of ministry.  His greatest passion is the exaltation of Christ through verse by verse exposition of the Word of God and the advancement of the Christ’s kingdom to the ends of the earth through the ministry of the local church. He and his wife Diane have two sons and one daughter. When George isn’t busy with ministry, he enjoys spending time with family, keeping fit, and spending time outdoors.

Matthew Wasson

Discipleship Pastor

Matthew and his wife Susan came to Grace Fellowship Church in 2020, in response to God's calling to bi-vocational church ministry. He graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2023, earning a Master of Theological Studies degree with an emphasis in Preaching and Pastoral Ministry. He was ordained to the Gospel ministry by our congregation in October, 2022 and began serving as Discipleship Pastor in May 2023. During his childhood, Matthew spent two years on the mission field in Sierra Leone, West Africa with his parents. For many years, he exercised his spiritual gift of teaching through Sunday School classes and small groups, as well as leading men's Bible Study Fellowship classes. Matthew's desire is to help each believer develop a vibrant spiritual life including the disciplines of Bible study, prayer, worship and fellowship.
